January 27th, 2007The Reading Meme
Because I really have nothing else to post about.
Contemporary, Historical, or Paranormal?
All of the above.
Hardback or Trade Paperback or Mass Market Paperback?
Any is fine, but it’s a bit more difficult to curl up with a big hardback.
Heyer or Austen?
Stella Martin!
Amazon or Brick and Mortar?
Brick and Mortar please! But if I can’t find something I’ll use Amazon.
Barnes & Noble or Borders?
Barnes & Noble has a far superiour selection.
Woodiwiss or Lindsay?
I can’t believe I’m admiting this, but I will occasionally read a Johanna Lindsay romance novel. :::hangs head in shame:::
First romance novel you ever remember reading?
Savage Thunder by Ms./Mr. Lindsay.
Alphabetize by author Alphabetize by title or random?
Author.
Keep, Throw Away or Sell?
Keep or post to Paperback Swap.
Read with dustjacket or remove it?
Read with. In fact, it drives me insane when Dan removes them.
Sookie Stackhouse or Anita Blake?
I am not familiar with either of them.
Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
Chapter Breaks.
It was a dark and stormy night or Once upon a time?
Yes, please.
Crusie or SEP?
Neither.
Buy or Borrow?
Buy. When I borrow a book I never get around to reading it.
Buying choice: Book Reviews, Recommendation or Browse?
Browse or recommendation.
Tidy ending or Cliffhanger?
It depends on if the cliffhanger is a WTF?!?! type of ending.
Morning reading, Afternoon reading or Nighttime reading?
Afternoon and nighttime.
Series or standalone?
Usually a standalone, but sometimes a series.
Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?
Someone, somewhere has heard of everything.

Interesting. I havent heard of half of that stuff myself. Yikes. Where have I been. LOL… Living in the twilight zone for the past 30 years. LOL…. Maybe or maybe not. Just not paying that much attention. But it was a good post anyway. I am only teasing you on this point. Well my little one wants a movie so I will let her have one for now and catch you later. Hope you have a good day. I am going to try. Its cold here. But only eight weeks of this real cold stuff left anyway.

I’m definitely with you on the first one. I’ll buy from Amazon but also go to brick mortar, usually Barnes & Noble. I also have trouble getting rid of books once I’ve bought them.
I’m feeling stupid on the Crusie or SEP. What is this question about?
Cliffhangers are hard. Even in a series (I’m working on three) I like it to have some kind of an ending.

Very interesting Courtney. I wish I had more time to read for pleasure. I’m usually reading something for work in my off hours.
