March 10th, 2008The Future Will be Better Tomorrow
Does your graphics card’s fan look like this:
If it does, you may really have a problem. :annoyed:
I think I’m pulling myself out of my self-imposed semi-exile/funk. It happens.
I’ve been avoiding updating Wordpress. I know I should, but I’m a skeerd. I also still can’t find the perfect emoticons. The bouncing cat heads were cute and all, but awfully big. The teeny cat heads are cute, too, but awfully hard to see. Sure, the default emoticons are great, but not my style.
I’m still knee deep in magazines and books. I’ve been reading quite a lot, but I get half way through a magazine and say, “Ooooh, I forgot I really wanted to read that article in that other magazine.”
As you can probably guess, I replaced our graphics card. I cleaned out our old one and I’ll keep it for a back-up. A new task has been added to my weekly computer maintenance — cleaning the filthy beast out. I won’t slack on that again. :blank:
Lost has a few episodes left before a short break, and I’m so excited. I think this season is the best so far. Not only is there the addition of Jeff Fahey to the cast, but the writers are actually answering questions. Sure, they’re leaving the viewers with more questions, but it seems like in Season Three, they just didn’t answer anything. Most importantly, of course, Jeff Fahey. :gaga:
There’s a cute, Chevy Nova we’re thinking about buying. I would drive that while Dan drives the Blazer. Bad thing is, the Nova would get worse gas mileage than the Blazer. Not good at all. I love Novas, but I’d love to find a Barracuda even more.
Do you ever get patches of skin that are painful to the touch? I always get areas on my arms, that without a known irritant, just hurt. If I knew what caused it, I’d stop doing whatever it is I’m doing. But it just comes out of the blue.
I think that’s all I’ve got today. Hopefully I won’t have such a large lag in posting in the near future.

What, no pet hair?
We rarely get dust in our computer. I think the dog hair, that clogs the fans, filters it out.
The computer is the ONLY thing that L will clean without being nagged.
I’m glad you’re pulling out of your funk. I missed you!!

Wondered what happened to you. What kind of updates to WP are you afraid of? Version 2.5 will be out soon. I’m not looking forward to that one.
We are enjoying Lost this season too.
I had a ‘65 Barracuda, it wasn’t very good on gas either.

tshsmom, nope, oddly enough, no pet hair. But that dust is murder on my allergies, and it has the distinct smell of electrically burnt mold and dander.
Bruce, any updates. I haven’t done an update yet, and I’m a little nervous about breaking things. I keep reading the tutorial afraid that I’ll screw something up if I try it.

I really understand being in the middle of reading something and jumping over to something else. Sometimes I feel like I have ADD.
:hmmm:

I have never had to replace the card and never seen one looking like that either. Jeff would know more than I about anything with the computer. But take your time posting. Enjoy your reading.

I occasionally gets spots on my arms that for no reason that I know of get sensitive. It’s not quite painful. More like what I imagine a light sunburn would feel like.

Glad to see you back. I was beginning to wonder if I should be worried. I figured maybe school was keeping you busy lately. Either way, glad to see your post.

I love Lost and Jeff Fahey sure ain’t hurtin’ their ratings in my living room!
My ex had a barracuda when we were going together, something in the 60’s model line, a Commando. I hated it. He worked on it more than he worked on me.
I’m afraid to open up my box. It hasn’t been cleaned inside in a year. Or so. Or more…. OK, maybe tomorrow.
Again, good to see you back, Courtney.

Skip the Nova. Soon no one will be able to afford gas.
Have those skin patches checked out by a doc.
Welcome back! (Did I not says that above? I meant to!)
