September 28th, 2008That Incessant Service
I finally made my own Matchbox Pinhole Camera. I was surprised at how easy it was to construct, and so far, it’s been easy to use. Now I just have to see how the photos turn out.

I had to make a cheat sheet on the back so I would remember my shutter times and how far to turn the winder.

Cool. You will have to let us see some of the stuff you take with it when you get done…

@Bridget Jones: So far, so good. I won’t really know until I get the photos developed next week, though.

Cool! We may have to try that. It’s the perfect project for a science geek that loves photography!

It was a lot of fun to put together. If you can’t find a binder comb or don’t want to spend the buck, lemme know, and I’ll send a strip from mine. There’s 19 rings on a strip and I’ll never use all of them.

So have you taken any pictures with it yet? Get the film developed yet?

I’ve taken pictures with it, and the camera seems to work pretty well as far as advancing the frame. But I’m using B&W film and there’s only one place in town that develops the Arista film, so it will be a few weeks before I make it to the photo shop.

This is too cool.
I recently purchased a Holga and Diana but have yet to play with them yet. Can’t wait
