September 9th, 2007Second Question
What do you think of the new layout? Me? I’m not so sure yet. And I’m really not comfortable with the whole widget thing. We’ll see.
And yes, I did backup my old template.
EDIT: Hmmm… My text replace smiley code doesn’t work. Bummer.

I like it. I LOVE the “Duly Noted” quote!
Where’d you get the quiz widget?

I think I have about 15 quotes that rotate, so the quote changes each time you load the page.
The poll thing is a new feature under blogger in draft (didn’t we just get done with blogger in beta?). Instead of going to http://blogger.com, you go to http://draft.blogger.com/home, but you have to update your template to one of the new layouts. I wanted to try the new features, but didn’t want to mess with changing my old template to the new format.

I like the new theme. Keep at it, I’m sure you will get it to where you want it.

I really like it. Where’d you find it? I’d like to do something different, if I ever get time to work on it.
Hugs,

I hadn’t been by in a few days so I was surprised when the page loaded. At first I thought I’d gone to the wrong place! I like it. It’s clean and neat.

LittlePea, it’s good to know that the this loads faster. I didn’t realize the old one took so long.
For those who asked, I got this template from Final Sense.

That is the number one reason that this template will stay! Thanks for all of the input.

OK, so how’d you get the rotating quotes? Is that a blogger thing, too?

Nope, it’s just Javascript. I’m having trouble posting the code, but if you go to the page source and CTRL-F search for ‘quotations’ you can see the code. You can have as many quotes as you’d like, but remember to change the number in
new Array(x);
to one more than the number of quotes that you have.

Oh, that is insanely cool. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do that for a while.
Thank you!

I just plugged it into an HTML page — works great. Now I HAVE to get my site redesigned!
Love this one especially: Americans have different ways of saying things. They say “elevator”, we say “lift”… they say “President”, we say “stupid psychopathic git. ~ Alexai Sayle
