October 7th, 2006Of Books and Bombers
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow is the Friends of the Flathead County Library’s annual book sale. Friday and Saturday it’s a dollar an inch, and on Sunday, it’s a dollar a bag. How could anyone pass that up?? And yes, I’ve added quite a lot to my to-be-read pile. As I was browsing the History and Politics section Dan approached me, just beaming. He wanted to show me a picture in Skunk Works by Ben R. Rich & Leo Janos.
To understand why this picture is so important to me, click on it to enlarge it, or as Leesa says, “click it to big it.” The driver of the bomb lift truck (also called a jammer), is Dan.

Wow, someone in our family is actually “in pictures.” Imagine that! The closest either Trav or I have come is our high school year books.
Hee hee!

Yep, also if you get the Wings channel and happen to catch “Wings over the Gulf” he’s in that, too, towards the end (in that you can actually tell it’s him!).
While I’m at it, I should correct the title before someone sends me a nasty email — the F117A is a fighter, not a bomber, but ‘Of Books and Fighters’ didn’t sound right.

Hi Courtney! I haven’t visited in a while so I’ve been going through all your posts and photos for the past 20 minutes or more. I see you are posting more. I came every day for months and … nothing! hehe!
Take care, little Montana friend.
