July 20th, 2008New Feature: Galleries
If you haven’t noticed, there’s a new tab at the top of the page that reads, “Galleries”. After the quality of photos seemed to go down after making them into videos, I thought maybe a gallery might be a better option to share photos without slowing load time. I only have one gallery up so far, but in the future there should be more (I’m already working on one). I might still look for better gallery software that allows comments, but so far, Web Album Generator works OK. If you check it out, let me know what you think, or what could be better.

I’ve been using Flickr to host my images. There is a Flickr plugin for WordPress.

I don’t mind hosting images (I got more space than I will ever use). I’ve tried Flickr, I browse photos on Flickr, I just don’t like it. Picasa has some rough edges, but I think it’s superior, or at least has the potential to be superior. It has more user control, I don’t have to pay for anything other than more space in the long run and I don’t have to click on as much crap to get what I want.

I was using Picasa but it kept making our computer reset so I had to trash it. To much going on at once and I learned how to get my photo’s from my camera folder.
