tshsmom, the old man did pretty well. He was a little stiff, but most of the major action seemed to rely on Shia. MOST of Harrison’s action scenes were clever, not necessarily death defying.
Bruce, it was a pretty straight forward action film, a little hokey (but they’re all kinda hokey), but generally enjoyable. It stayed very much within the tone of the other three films, which I liked. I would recommend it, but don’t expect it to be anything other than an Indiana Jones film — it doesn’t have all the modern bells and whistles. Whether it lived up to all of the others, it was no Raiders of the Lost Ark, but was much better than Temple of Doom.
I really enjoyed the movie. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite of the series; for that I’d pick the first and third flicks. I was very happy to see that they maintained the production and cinematography styles of the earlier flicks instead of relying (heavily) on CGI…Unlike some other popular franchises’ last movie (yes, I’m’ thinking about you, Die Hard 4). I didn’t feel that my $6.50 was wasted.

So was it good? Would you recommend it? Did it live up to the others?

My big question is: Did Harrison Ford pull off the action scenes like he did when he was younger?
Long live Indie!

I liked that movie where Shia Lebouf played the fast talking sidekick.

Jeff asked me if liked these and I think they are ok. Kind of late for another one in the series though isnt it? Its been years since they made one.

Tweetey, yes, it has been a while, but it’s not like they tried to have Harrison Ford play a young man, and just pick up where he left off.
