January 20th, 2007Dam Cold
I was going to post these in December, but I just didn’t get around to it. I’m participating in a swap-bot, traveling camera swap. If you’re not familiar with this concept, a disposable camera is sent from person to person, each snapping a photo of their own desire, and then sending it along to the next person. Eventually when the cameras are full, they’re sent back to the originator and developed. The photos are then displayed online for all to see. I decided to take a trip up to Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir to take my photo, and took a few of my own. Well, a couple. It was cooooold!!!

Ha ha–dam cold! Very funny title and very nice photos Courtney. Is it still cold there? It is a bit warmer here (in Absarokee) today, but there is still snow on the ground.

Oh Courtney, those photos are gorgeous! What I wouldn’t give to live in a place like that! Such beautiful country! And me loving to photograph scenery!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! These photos have made my day!

Stunning photos Courtney. You are fortunate to live so close to such spectacular scenery.

It’s probably still quite cold up in the canyon, but it’s ‘pleasant’ down here in the valley.
Fortunate to live close to such scenery? Yeah, but remember, I’m from the flatlands, too, so I’d still prefer scenery that’s a little more open. And I miss cities!

Is it possible to miss cities??? :-O
I’m a country girl. The city has its charms, I admit, but I long for wide open spaces, snow on fence posts, the joyous laughter of children on ski hills.
Maybe it’s a case of the grass is always greener…

I would miss the city if I were too far from one. You do live in a beautiful area, though. Pretty pictures.

NICE pics!
I LOVE the beauty of the mountains, but not driving them in the winter. I guess I’m just a flatlander at heart.

If you dont mind me asking where exactly are these taken? Just wondering. They are just beautiful though. I have never been near the canyons but have been told they are neat. My sister in law lives in Winslow AZ and wants us to go visit sometime. They want to take us to the Grand Canyon. Its cold here too in NE Wisconsin. WE got five inches of snow last night. Yikes. But not to bad. Keep up the beautiful photos though. I might take my camera with me tonight when I go to get my olest here in a while and take some of the sunsets we have had lately. I mean wow. Well anyway gotta run. N.
