The comfortable office chair that I expressed a desire for in this post, has been upgraded. Or downgraded, contingent upon how you choose to look at it. I no longer desire a comfortable office chair. I simply desire a safe one. Alright, and comfortable, but safe takes precedence. And then comfort. :P

The additional problem is that this is not a new problem. It’s an every three years problem. A like clock-work problem. A problem that has landed me on my ba-donk-a-donk before. I guess a new slot to my list of eighty three problems has been filled. I’m afraid to find out what will happen when I replace the chair? ;)

However, as a bonus, I used ‘ba-donk-a-donk’ in a blog post. My blog can at least die happy!

April 18th, 2007Thursday Thirteen #21

Thirteen Things on my Desk

1. My awesome Web cam.

2. My equally awesome Olympus SP-350 Digital Camera

3. The best Eye drops ever. Visine A with Antihistamine and redness reliever.

4. My Peter Rabbit round tin that holds our half million pens, pencils and scissors.

5. A lighted 5X magnification mirror. Yep, I tweeze my brows at my desk.

6. A can of compressed air. The best invention ever. It also works well as a cat deterrent.

7. A newly arrived post card from New Zealand — my first one from NZ.

8. A self-healing mat, cork board I use for crafts, bone folder, adhesives and an 18″ stainless steel ruler.

9. A yellow, HP, 02 series ink cartridge for Gertie (my printer).

10. A 180 GB external hard drive, named Billy. I use it for weekly backups, as well as extra backup for photos. I cannot tell you how many photos I’ve lost because I didn’t back them up regularly.

11. A 2007 Crossword of the Day Desk Calendar.

12. A Great Smoky Mountains Geocoin that I found the other day in our first Geocache find. (Scroll down if you’d like to see it).

13. Green Tea flavoured Chap stick. I also have a large zip lock bag filled with about a hundred more chap sticks. I can’t get enough of them!

March 12th, 2007Oy Vey!

A while back I did this post teasing Dan about his collection of identical notebooks. I thought it was only fair to post of few pictures of items that I horde.

I forgot to put one in, and I left out all of my grocery listers, and I think there’s several more in a storage container. Memo pads and sticky notes just rule.

I’m determined to have a Sharpie in every colour and every type point possible. And I just like the Papermate felt tip pens. I usually copy recipes onto cards with them.

Who has that much stuff to highlight? I also have many of the fat barrel type that are hiding in various storage boxes.

This is excluding the 0.3 mm, 0.9 mm and 2.0 mm leads I keep in my art supply tackle box. Or the red artist leads. Or the extras that wouldn’t fit into my pencil case. Or…

I think I’ll have to have a couple-three of these Crayola Crayon Pens for next fall when classes start. I can only hope a prof asks why I’m taking my notes with a Crayon! If you look at the plunger ends, you can tell they’re pens, but I think they look pretty realistic. Well, for an online picture, anyway!

Our Crayola Crayon Executive Pen is hands down the most fun you can have at work! Get ready to hear a few giggles as you nonchalantly take notes in your next meeting. Who said you had to give in completely to “the suits” at the office?

This Sign & Seal, balancing pen act is just too cute!

All work, no play…how boring is that? Bring a touch of whimsy to your desk with Sign & Seal, the pen-holding pinniped with perfect balance and a magnetic personality. Just give it a whirl!
