February 23rd, 2008Dirty Screen? Clean it Up.

Making the latest email rounds is a new computer screen cleaner, which is great, since the best LCD screen cleaner I’ve found so far is a pencil eraser. Check it out: Here.

January 28th, 2008Always Room Temperature Redux

An update about the drink chiller/warmer I mentioned in this post:  It’s a piece of junk.  Don’t buy one.  I would do better to set my soda in the window sill to keep it chilled.

USB Chiller/WarmerUSB Chiller/Warmer Switch
After much complaining by my plus-one, Dan, that I waste too much soda and tea because it either gets too warm or too cold, I’ve ordered a USB drink chiller/warmer from Think Geek. We’d been thinking about ordering a USB drink chiller for a while. That will help keep my soda cold, but I also wanted a USB drink warmer for my hot tea. Dan finally said, “Enough, order a USB drink chiller.” The first place I looked was Think Geek. I searched their site and found this one that serves both functions.  How happy am I? :D

It’s perfect and it’s simple - a hotplate powered by USB keeps your coffee warm. But if Alton Brown has taught us anything is that we hate a single-use tool. That, and, sometimes we like our caffeine served cold. No problem, ’cause we’ve got you covered!

Just flip a switch, and the hot-plate turns into a peltier device, quickly cooling to 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius). Sweet! By maintaining optimum temperatures for your caffeine delivery system, you can enjoy increased work productivity and nice twitchy gaming reflexes.

Features Include:

* Connection via USB
* Cold-plate chills to 45˚F
* Hotplate warms to 120˚F
* Helps keeps your beverage at optimum temperature
* USB cable length: 2 feet
* Power consumption: 5.75W
* Dimensions: 5.25″ x 3.25″ x 1.4″

December 4th, 2007O Tannenbaum

I’ve seen that lots of bloggers have been posting photos of their Christmas trees. My tree hasn’t been up in several years, so this is an old photo. And a kinda crappy one at that. If you look to the top you can see part of my collection of elephants. Yeah. How very, oh-so unique.

By the way, if there are any Jeopardy and/or trivia fans out there who have been thinking of purchasing the MGA Jeopardy Game Base system — DON’T! You must be able to turn CC on on your DVD player (NOT your TV), and even if you do have the correct type of DVD Player, it’s still nearly impossible to program the buzzers. We gave up after a few hours and returned the thing to the store.

November 13th, 2007F1 Concept Lawn Mower

From Jalopnik
“This conceptual F1 lawn mower is so hot that the grass would thank you and your kids would be fighting over who gets to do the yard work.”

If I had a yard to mow, I might have to use this über cool lawn mower. I wonder if I could get phantom flames painted on it?

The comfortable office chair that I expressed a desire for in this post, has been upgraded. Or downgraded, contingent upon how you choose to look at it. I no longer desire a comfortable office chair. I simply desire a safe one. Alright, and comfortable, but safe takes precedence. And then comfort. :P

The additional problem is that this is not a new problem. It’s an every three years problem. A like clock-work problem. A problem that has landed me on my ba-donk-a-donk before. I guess a new slot to my list of eighty three problems has been filled. I’m afraid to find out what will happen when I replace the chair? ;)

However, as a bonus, I used ‘ba-donk-a-donk’ in a blog post. My blog can at least die happy!

I think I have to have the Cat Butts magnet set. Because I’m a little bit odd that way!

Everyone loves Cat Butts! For true cat lovers. 5 popular breeds with a bonus hair ball! Works great on the fridge, car, and other metal surfaces.
