December 29th, 2006Mo Máthair agus Athair
Now that I have a nifty new scanner, I can maybe finish an outstanding project: To scan all family photos and burn them to disc for the siblings. I’ve already gotten more done in the past few days than I have in the last five years, So I thought I’d post a few.

November 24th, 2006Black Friday
Thanksgiving Dinner was great! In fact, I’ve had it several times so far! Ginny made a delicious, huge feast, and there was plenty of company, too. Doug, Ginny, Dan, myself, Will, Sonja, Gary, Carrie-Beth and Don, all crowded around the table to stuff our faces! Solomon enjoyed his turkey dinner, too… the little cannibal!
Today is the day I traditionally begin to hibernate under the covers to wait out the holiday season, but not this year. If Dan gets out of Borders alive we’ll be shopping this afternoon. Not only will there be tons of pushy shoppers, cranky clerks and indecision, there will also be this:
I woke up and looked out the window through blurry contact lenses and the haze of morning grogginess and saw nothing but snow. Cold, wet, blechy snow.
I hate Black Friday!
November 15th, 2006Way Back Wednesday
I haven’t found a hub for Way Back Wednesday, but I thought it would be cool to post a photo from way back when.
Just because he wasn’t my mother’s father doesn’t mean he wasn’t my Grandpa. This is my Grandpa, Raymond Getz circa 1924. He was technically my mother’s half-brother, but after her father died when she was young, he raised her.

February 24th, 2005Hope ya’ll are here!
We’ve just sent out the mass mailing annoucing our site. We don’t have everyone’s email address, so there was no intentional snubbing. We’re not sure where this is going to go, but we hope it will be a nice, little forum for our collective families. We’re sorry that we forgot to include the URL in our first email, and hope everyone finds this place okay. We’re sure we’ll get a few emails saying, “hey, wait, where do I go?” We really did just forget. I’m afraid to admit that one smart brain + one smart brain = airhead.
